Hospice launches tea party bid! “Tea at 3” - Cardiff’s Biggest Tea Party Hold a Tea Party Anytime between 1st and 31st March 2010 at a venue of your choice and donate the proceeds to the Hospice. People across Cardiff are being asked to get out their tea cups and start baking cakes and biscuits for a massive fundraising tea party. Your Local Hospice George Thomas Hospice Care needs your help. By holding your own event as part of our Tea at 3 latest fundraising campaign, and raising funds for our work, you can help us to help our patients and their families in Cardiff suffering from cancer, heart disease and other life threatening illnesses. You will help both our consultant led team of nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and bereavement support continue their vital home support and the expansion of our day care service. Whether you are a Company, a School, an Organisation, a family or an individual by holding your own special Tea Party on our behalf you will be helping us to raise the 1.3million a year we need to continue to serve our community and we can continue to provide our care. George Thomas Hospice based in Whitchurch Cardiff has launched its Tea at 3 Campaign in a bid to raise lots of money for the cause. Sharon Owen Fundraising and Events Officer said “ Lots of Celebrities such Lucy and Rhodri Owen, Aled Jones, Sian Lloyd and Amanda Prothero Thomas are supporting our Campaign this year and we are asking supporters to put the kettle on for Cardiff Biggest Tea Parties Tea at 3 which this year will be held during the month of March “Tea at 3 is always a very popular event, as it can be really simple or very elaborate. "We have lots of fun things in the fundraisers pack that anyone can send for, everything you need to get your Tea Party started” Mariclaire Carey-Jones from ITV Wales has come up with a decadent dark chocolate extravaganza cake which people can then make and serve at their parties. The charity's Tea at 3 fundraising packs contain everything from invitations and posters to stickers and balloons, Celebrity and Volunteer Recipes to get the parties started.
